Apart from financial performance, the board is very focused on Liberty Charge’s sustainability agenda and its role within the community for its employees and many stakeholders. The board is made up equally of directors from Liberty Global and Zouk Capital.

Jonathan Pearson

Non-Executive Chairman

Managing Director Capital Allocation & Business Control, Liberty Global

As Head of Capital Allocation for Liberty Global Jonathan is focused on business performance, long range plan and maximising equity returns. Previously Jonathan was Group Treasurer and formerly Vice President of M&A for Telecoms at Bank of America. He is an Economics graduate of Warwick University and in his spare time enjoys cycling in the countryside around Buckinghamshire.

Massimo Resta

Non-Executive Director

Partner, Zouk Capital

Massimo is a Partner in Zouk’s Infrastructure team with over 20 years’ experience in banking, consultancy and engineering. At Zouk, he is responsible for the sourcing and execution of clean infrastructure projects including leading on the HM Treasury’s CIIF and the Liberty Charge investment. Massimo is an engineer by training and a graduate of Politecnico di Milano and Columbia Business School. He is focused on changing the way we do things to improve our children’s future.

Sarah Lane

Non-Executive Director

Investment Manager, Zouk Capital

Sarah is an Investment Manager in the infrastructure team at Zouk. Specialising in deal origination, investment analysis and structuring, financial modelling, due diligence and transaction execution, she is a key member of the team leading on the HM Treasury’s CIIF. Sarah is a graduate of Durham University and enjoys travelling and long walks with her dachshund Humphrey in her spare time.

Rob Evans

Non-Executive Director

Managing Director, Network Expansion, Virgin Media

Rob is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team of Virgin Media with responsibility for the major investment programmes to expand the ultrafast fibre optic network to millions more homes and businesses in the UK. Rob previously held executive positions in international operations at BP, Schlumberger and Cable & Wireless. Rob is a qualified engineer, has a first degree in Mechanical Engineering and an executive MBA from Henley Business School. In his spare time a keen rugby and motorsports fan.

Colin Campbell

Non-Executive Director

Partner, Zouk Capital

Colin founded the Infrastructure team at Zouk. With over 25 years’ experience in the energy sector, he brings to Zouk a strong record in executive management, company turnarounds, building innovative new projects and companies, energy trading, corporate and project finance. Colin was previously CEO of Killingholme Power and is a chartered accountant and a graduate in chemical engineering from the University of Surrey. Colin lives in an eco home he built, is an avid EV driver and competitive golfer.

Jason Simpson

Executive Director

Vice President, Global Energy & Utilities, Liberty Global

Jason is responsible for Liberty Global’s corporate energy strategy including building new adjacent market opportunities, such as EV charging. He founded and incubated Liberty Charge seeing it through to the investment by Zouk Capital and retains day to day responsibility for Strategy and Corporate Development. Jason is a graduate of Johns Hopkins, Cambridge and Bath Universities, is an advisory board member of Enlit, Europe’s largest energy and utilities event, and in his spare time enjoys running (and drinking) his way around the Marathon du Medoc.
